NO TUNE REQUIRED L&M'S throttle Bodies tested by MMFF

November 2010 issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Ford magazine

The car used for the test was a 2010 GT500 equipped with the new Whipple 2.9 SC kit from Ford Racing as well as a set of American Racing long tube headers

The testing was done at Big Daddy's Performance by Mike Rozman on a dynoJet dyno.

"All baseline runs were made with the Cobra Jet twin-bore 65mm throttle body, which is standard issue in the Ford Racing 2.9 blower kit."

"First a few back to back runs were done to ensure our baseline of 703 rwhp was consistant and within 2 rwhp each time."

"The L&M66 was bolted on and it laid down 726 rwhp and 671 rwtq, gains of 23 rwhp and 12lb-ft of torque"

glad mine (L&M66) came in the mail today. It goes on, along with the plenum, FORE rails and new sparkies on Thursday afternoon. No time for dyno, so I'll just have to believe that it works.

FYI.......This was an independent test done by Mike Galimi of MMFF with the help of Big Daddys Performance and Downs Ford , neither Jim nor Herman of L&M were present durring any of the work or dyno testing....

Nice article!! You beat me to it!

Glad I did a search first -- I was just going to post it up. I posted a quick comment this morning on that 'other' site -lol.

    ---

Funny thing is six months ago the L&M was still unfathomable magic not to be believed by some and now it's already emerging as the defacto standard for these cars -- I mean, seriously, what would be the point in installing any other? I'm so glad L&M is starting to get some much-deserved attention -- kudos!
