Always thought they were more of a driving light than a fog light, sometimes run w just them on in the twilight.
Thanks for the pics! I was thinking of them for the Fusion since we do get some serious fog on occasion but I see they would not work for fog without a sharp upper cut-off. The stock Fusion fogs aren't bad (well controlled) but could certainly be brighter. I also use them for better side-of-road lighting at dusk since that's when deer are on the move. The Fusion has them sitting in a large cutout else I'd consider fashioning a 'cut-off' cover for the top half ...the Mustang's smaller opening would lend itself much better for that (if used for fog).
The Fusion won't permit fogs + high-beams at the same time (tho I could probably re-wire for that if I had to) but if I turn the fogs and high-beams on together, the high beams get priority such that if you dim your higbeams for an oncoming driver, the fogs will temporarily 'replace' them ...handy at times, especially if you need to get another drivers attention by flashing the high-beams.
