BTW - I thought the TracKey was out for months.

I can see why people are pissy about this.

Being a "track key" you think it would be exempt from the silly socialist games.

...and the irony is that CARB apparently tests absolutely nothing and they certify absolutely nothing ...as best as I can tell it's actually an applicant-certified assessment process that just takes the overpaid beaureaucrats months on end to 'process'

Re: BOSS 302 "one of the best sports cars the world has ever seen"

Could this be a sneak-preview of the 2013 BOSS?

...Ford's 1 of 1 BOSS variant done for charity auction ...strip off the number and PJ script and it's about as perfect a modern redux of the car PJ drove to victory ...from hockey stick stripe to stance ...a deparrture on the wheels tho, sort of a blend of modern 5-spoke cobra and '12 TracPack GT500 or softened and polished variant of the garish LS wheel?s -- I likey!!

...one-of-one PJ BOSS 302 for autcion:

'hints' I screen-shot clipped from video Ford leaked last year -- notice the hocky-stick, location of BOSS 302, color palette, wheel mock-ups, etc ....seems it was no accident that Ford let that vid out with that one flased scene showing this in the background?

...and just for reference, the vintage real-deals #s 15 & 16 -- shot at Watkins Glen in '71 by yours truly (camera copy of my original Kodachrome slide color rebalanced in Photoshop):

George Follmer high-tailing it through the pits -- and about to run me over -lol- ...no way I could focus that fast! ;-)

PJ burning up the back straight heading into the 110* hairpin -- this car could push deeper going into that hairpin than anything else on the track (in '71, anyway) ...it was scary how far ...and sight to behold as he would often pick-uff a competitor at the last instant, then tuck into a set-up for the turn in an almost-controlled fashion -lol ...PJ ruled

Re: BOSS 302 "one of the best sports cars the world has ever seen"

...those were fun days ...we used to plan way in advance ...get discount tickets ...we always camped at the Glen ...sometimes we'd pack up our cars (me and a couple friends) and drive them to a safe residential neighborhood in NJ after work the day before and then take the buss back to NY and the subway home... then, the next day, go to work, change in the mens room after work and take the buss right from NYC to the cars in NJ -- just to jump the gridlock traffic out of NY on Friday afternoon ...drive like he!! and get to the Glen by 9:30 or 10 pm ...crash in the car thursday night. First thing friday, get in and set up the tent to stake-out our spots, then go into town to have breakfast and get ice and food in the coolers for the weekend, then back to the Glen to see what practice was doing and start the adventure. Saturday night was always mahem at The Bog lol Sunday after the race it was madness as sometimes the Glen would get a few hundred-thou spectators all clearing out on a couple of 2-lane country roads later on Sunday -- we had our secret dirt-roads to get back to the main road (a bigger two-lane state road -lol) ...this was pre-GPS, pre Google ...when he who had the best [topo] maps and could read them won the race to the main road -lol ...that way you had time to grab some food and gas and get home by 11p so you could unpack and sir-out everything and still get some sleep before work monday. I'd pass out from exhaustion now ...just thinking about it makes me tired ...sometimes we'd take Friday off and make it a real roadtrip: we'd all get together for breakfast in Astoria on Friday morning, then leave in three cars (we almost always drove separately tho shotgun riders were welcome) ...and we'd usually keep in a high-speed caravan until getting off the Interstate ...it was a good 3.5 hour trip ..there was a stretch of about 50-60 miles where the game was to (secretly planned in advance -hehe) to try to beat everyone else to the agree rendezvous point (our fave diner or the IGA supermarket in Montour Falls). One year my buddy Stan forgot his money (which he discoverd at the gas stop off the interstate -doh!) None of had enough money to cover all his expenses, so ...Stan is 6'2" but wirey, so I 'folded' him up in the trunk of the 68 fastback and planned to drive in with him in there. Gridlock at the main gate ...Stan must have been in there in the heat and sun for 45 minutes ...he thought he was gonna suffocate but couldn't get out ...it's funny now, but you had to be there to appreciate how funny it was since he couldn't make noise or complain as the entrance road where you'd inch forward was loaded with state police and guards and, back then, if they cought you doing that you were outta there for sure! (at a minimum) ...fun days ;-)

...some of the competitions from the interstate to Montour Falls were a kick ...complete with faking out your buds with last instant side-road turnoffs ...even more fun if you had taken your buddy's maps when he took a leak at the gas-up stop ...but we always had our CBs (breaker 19 good buddy, got your ears on? ) ...so we could hook up later if someone got lost ...and tease the heck out of whoever was off course -lol
