    Two of my heroes!

Life has been moving at mach speed for me lately so as usual I haven't been on the forum much. I just HAD to take time to share a bittersweet bright spot though, especially after everyone here offered so much advice and support (thanks again guys you don't how much you really helped me deal with this).

Below is a picture of two of my personal heroes, LTC(ret) Oliver North and my brother now proudly serving in the Army Veterinary Corps, stationed at Camp Leatherneck, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

P.S. His last name is different than mine but I promise he is my brother!

    Great pic.

I promise you this.. Deployment is harder on those left behind than it is on those deployed (in my opinion).. I've experienced this first hand and am thankful the end is near.

He seems to be handling it better than I as Heidi mentioned. His most recent message was a quote from Full Metal Jacket "we are jolly green giants walking the earth with guns." He's always had an odd sense of humor, not his fault considering he had me as a father figure.

I recently talked to a good friend of mine.. His advice was stay away from the news.

He's done quite well for himself considering such an incredible limitation.
