    Ford Pass

Anyone know how to tell what vehicles this works on?

I’m thinking it works with sync, but how do you know if your vehicle has sync or not?

I think it's 2018 and newer but prior ones can participate via and OBD-II dongle according to this article

Looking for my Transit. It’s a 2018. I don’t want a monthly service, I just want it to unlock/lock the doors. Lol

I don’t know how to tell if it has sync because I’ve never used that in any of our vehicles.

If you saved the Monroney sticker it might mention it on there. If not it will definitely mention whatever option/packages were in the build and maybe some searches based on that will say? I haven’t bought a new vehicle in a long time but the order papers should say. Also, any dealer you know is able to run the VIN in OASIS system and it should detail every feature on the vehicle. They usually also have an ‘electronics packages’ expert at most dealerships to specifically help with things like this. Also I know that earlier this year Ford restructured phone-in customer service to better help with this sort of stuff such that ‘problems’ are now supposedly assigned to a repeatable contact reduce the frustration of getting a different service rep every time you call with a follow-up and that same person owns the ‘problem’ to completion —just don’t know if that applies to questions like this but I think it does.

I’m at a Ford dealer on Mondays, didn’t think about asking them

Might have my sticker around here also.

Binged my window sticker and found this.

Looks like my van does have Sync. Now to figure out how to use the Ford Pass.

Doesn't it have a monthly service fee?

    Re: Ford Pass

So I downloaded the app and it doesn’t show lock unlock when I added the van.

Reading online it says it needs to be equipped w Fordpass connect. No idea what that is.

Thought I read it just needed sync.

For some advanced stuff I think it does.
