I am not a big soccor fan but the USA got robbed today.
That winning goal got called back on an offside call. :redcard3:

Worse than that, Slovenia's 2nd goal WAS offsides. Not sure now if they need a win or a tie to move on...need to watch the news. :boxing:

The foul should have been on the Slovenian player trying to hump the American in the penalty area.

Clearly this game was refereed by a person who has an issue with the USA.:unitedstates:

:tiphat2: to Team USA for coming back in the Second Half after being down two goals to a country that has less people in it than BROOKLYN!

That's right the population of the USA is 100x more than Slovenia, losing to them would have been one of the biggest failures in the history of the World Cup.

THUMBS ALL THE WAY DOWN to the refs at the World Cup and the Neanderthal fans in the stadiums that keep blowing those dumb horns the whole game.

I watched that replay in super slow mo...goal was valid. IMO

I had it set to tape on my DVD at home. When I get back home, I'll see if I can take a still photo showing my point.

When they showed the replays on TV they stopped it BEFORE the guy passed it. The penalty is at the time of passing...and IMO he was OFFSIDES.:redcard3:

-Absysmal Goalkeeping from the American
-appalling officiating
-terrible defense from both teams
-Team USA scored 3 goals and got credit for two
-the usual mind numbingly annoying horn blowing SA crowd

...and the world wonders why soccer is not thought of very highly here in the US by most people.....the officiating structure is a joke. The ref's don't even have to explain any of their calls....that's absurd IMO.

BTW I see the French team quit the other day and won't listen to their coach at all......the French give up? What a surprise....! :rofl3:

1939 on the Soccer Pitch. The French play today, so we will see....

My Dad always says; "France is such a beautiful country the problem is it is full of French People". :grin:

Totally agree, with your comments George, the other issue is the lack of integrity with the players too, the constant embellishment to try to make a foul look far worse than it is to draw free kicks, penalty kicks and the like, occurs all the time.

Many of the players have no honor, falling down and grabbing theri ankle or hamstring only to pop up when they see a free kick is NOT going to be award. It's a joke!

And with slo-mo high def TV there is no hiding it. Like BVSS mentioned the ref that carded out the Brazilian, KaKa, is a joke, the replay showed that KaKa did not even touch the guy at all.

The whole sport is still entertaining at times but too many times FRAUD is influencing outcomes, so the whole sport is getting a :redcard:
