yea...I just pulled up the radar for kearney, and noticed that the storms seem to be setting up like last night....luckily it was mostly broken up by the time it got here last night....the earlier storm just took down some old/small trees up in kearney......think the big deal tonight for us will again be the flood issue......we must all have a whole bunch of bad karma built up.........plus I screwed up my back yesterday......pain on top of pain.....:wow2:

No, this whole year has been unusual. We got a lot more snow than usual and now it has not stopped raining. Except for a couple of earlier trips, I haven't used a tank of gas in my Shelby since early May. This truly does suck!

That seems like our summer from last year (on the east coast). Cool and rainy. Hopefully it will pass before the Summer is over.

We always have storms this time of year. It just seems they are unusually violent and happening every day. It is about 12:45 Monday night (Tuesday morning) and we're in a severe thunderstorm alert again, and suppose to get high winds and rain in the next hour.

Well I spent the lunch hour with a State Farm Claims Adjuster. They totaled the roof on my home and 1/2 of the siding.

Nothing to say except - Mother Natures been a real Beotch this year.

Ok, I have a pretty funny story.


I was out on calls with a sales gal. She had a nice car - entry level Mercedes (don't remember the model #).

I was going to be in her car because she knew the way to the next appointment when she said, "I'm sorry it's so hot - my AC isn't working very well."

The car was pretty new, so I told her to take it back to the dealer. She said she did. They tested it with a probe and said the AC temp was right on spec.

Well, we got into her car (it was in the sun so it was pretty hot) and she turned the AC on to full blast. The air blowing was :cold2:, so I didn't know why she said her AC wasn't working... until about 5 minutes later.

I started sweating. My back and legs were HOT.

I looked over to her, and she was looking uncomfortable too.


I felt the seat (leather) and it was hotter than when we first got in.


Thinking a minute, I looked around the center console... :idea: there it was. 2 buttons pushed in with little indicator lights.



What was it?


Yep - she had the seat WARMERS on FULL HEAT!


I asked her what those buttons were. She said, "I think that's the power seat buttons - so the power seats work."

After laughing for a minute... I told her what the buttons were for.







All I'll say is that I'm glad she and I are good friends. She was pretty embarrassed.
