Great video, thanks. I saw them at an open air fest in Nuremberg at the Zeppelin Field in 1978. Also there: The Scorpions, Molly Hatchet, Cheap Trick and The Who. Great show.

All of the songs on Highway To Hell & Back In Black are on my play list in the GT500. :)

Styx and Boston were my two favorite bands in high school.

Love Boston (no :monkey:, not the city :trouble:).

Besides their few albums, I love this song by Barry Goudreau and Brad Delp when Barry was doing a solo album.

What amazing music. :git:

I still really like their namesake first album too. The quality of the recording was superb for 1976 ...as I recall Tom Scholz was a self-taught recording engineer who started in his basement 'studio' and developed his own recording techniques (e.g. pre-expanding the dynamic range in the higher frequencies that the vinyl tended to compress) so that, when played, the music was more 'real' -- very dynamic with lots of presence. Even their first album was a masterful recording for the day -- imo matched only by MCA's team of professional sound engineers developing similar techniques (first used on Elton John's black album, I think??) ...definately ahead of the curve.

You are correct Dan. Sholz was an electrical engineer who developed the "rockmaster" only for making the unique sound of Boston. Brad Delp took his own life at a later date, very sad. RIP Brad.
