View Full Version : $41,000 for a Chevy?

They must have their own kind of drugs to want that much for a Chevy. Even though it is an electric car, I can't see justifying that much for a car. They are using the $7500 tax credit to consumers as leverage and it is all wrong doing that. They can lower the price of the car by that amount and still make money. They are playing that color of money again. It is the same money, it just comes from a different pot.

GM tried it with the federal government and it worked. Now they are going to try it on the public. It is one thing to use a federal grant to repay your bailout loan. Why should consumers give up their hard earned $7500 to give directly to Government Motors?

I heard they are considering sweetening the pot. For each Volt sold, GM will toss in a free colonoscopy courtesy of Obamacare so that you can get your arse fixed after they shove their bs up high and tight.

You could not pay me to drive a Gov. Motors Chevy VOLT. It is a POS and the price is just plain absurd.

This is another in a long list of GM FAILURES IMO and here's their well deserved :redcard:

There is a local guy here that own a Ford dealer who is running for the state senate. His openant is running an ad saying that he took money from the government for the cash for clunkers program. Now he is on the defense letting everyone know that the customers were the ones that took the money from the government and his dealership. What bunch of crap these stupid politicians are. None of them are worth anything.

...even that $7500 rebate is somewhat bogus. If HSURB bought a Volt he'd not likely get one cent of the $7500. If I bought one (even if I could afford it and was drugged enough to buy anything from GM) I'd get all $7500. So those who can't afford to buy the thing (even with the rebate) are who qualify. My friend's sister (works for HBO) who lives in Manhattan bought a Prius hoping to get the nice rebate before it expires. Turns out she only qualified for about $200 :doh2: and never even bothered to check  ...by definition that should disqualify :haha:
