So i took the car to my local shop after work today and did three pulls. Local temp was about 88 deg. Not what i'm use to to say the least, but its bone stock. Jay Tucker stopped over as well. They did his car after a few mods on his new 5.0, and he put down around 415. Not bad for starting out. I'll load some vid's tomorrow..here's a few shots of mine and Jay's car as well....enjoy..

What was the advertised HP of this engine? I thought it was supposed to be 550. This only equates to 524. I guess you need optimal conditions for the 550.
I guess you didn't have mine and Joe's top notch engine builders. :rofl3:

Probably right, it was hot here with mild humidity. Plus it was heat soaked a little from the drive over. Next week will be with the L&M. Hopefully temps will be about the same.

Did you record the Humidity and BAP as well as temp. Always good to start with a cool engine especially on the first baseline pull.

Sweet, MC!!
538 bHP (/.85) is pretty darn good given VA Beach has 88% humidity today.
I did notice how the HP curve still has nice slope at 6500! Stock '07s typically peaked at about 6000/6100 or so. May be the stock CAI and 2.75 exhaust are helping that.

Your way over my stock pull I did 3 years ago,.....I was at 60% humidity and 72* I think you have a very nice base to build on.:spend::spend::spend::spend::spend::spend::spen d::spend::spend:
Mine was 448 rwhp.....and your well over 500 rwhp????? what gives????
My bad ,...your at just over 455rwhp....still very good base !

Stock, the '07s were 500 (they average 442 wheel). The '11 is 550.

My 448 to his 457 ......other than heat soke I don't see 50 hp they boast of on the newer 500's. Yes ,I did my pull with better weather conditions but I still don't see 50 hp.
I had my first base line done at Tasca with Dennis at the wheel.

yeah, MC should have seen around 467 at 65* and low humidity at one bar. Your 448 is about 6rw high for an '07. Also heat and humidity could have made a diff. Both are effectively at sea level so no difff there, but dunno barometer for both days which can make big diff too.
Beat me to the punch again MC :doh2:. I have some dyno time scheduled for Thursday if it doesn't rain. I installed the C&R H/E last night with the dual fans, so hopefully I can get some cool IAT2's for my runs. Those fans move some serious air, they will hold a towel on the lower grill when they are running.

Cool... Wasn't I reading somewhere that the svt package equipped 11 gt500 were supposed to exceed 550bhp? Your numbers are very nice for stock vert for sure... Wtg MC

yep...thx..it was a hot day. could have been better in cooler climate...time will tell..
Keith you must really be missing that 200+ RWHP from your old car.
With the possible tuning issues lurking with these new cars, do you think you'll see your old number with the '11?

i do miss that power for sure...but all in due time. I'll be there yet again, maybe not so aggressive this time around. i'm just gonna sit back and observe how the new system plays out with tuners, etc. L&M TB goes on today..
