Raptor was delivered to the dealer today!:monkey::monkey::monkey:

I will take delivery tomorrow morning. :spend:They need to inspect it and detail it so tomorrow it will be.

I took some cell phone pics but need to download them when I get home if I have the time. The wife and I are going to Philly tonight to a comedy club to see Chris Titus.

Why is there a different color piece in the steering wheel?

That is the way the sun is shing on the interior. He forgot the orange seat inserts. Sweet ride Jeff....you'll forget about the Shelby for a while and drive the hell out of this truck. I already have 4K miles on mine and I still love jumping into the drivers seat and taking it for a spin. Don't be surprised to get about 11MPG empty at first until you a couple K miles on it. Pulling about 5K pounds (Shelby and trailer), I was getting 12.5MPG going 70-75 most of the way. I never did put it in trailer/haul mode and it did great.

I opted for the all black interior.

I will be picking up a chipper which is being repaired at the john deere dealership about 40 miles away on monday or tuesday. That will be the test of trailering any weight.

In theory here is how this is all going to work:
1. drive truck from home to work
2. park truck all day and take my hyundai out as my estimate and general use vehicle (just as I do now)
3. park hyundai at my shop and drive truck home.
4. use truck at night and weekends

I say this is all theory because it will be very difficult not to want to use this truck all day long. I think the gas mileage will play a big factor in this decision. I also put around 35,000 miles a year on my hyundai for work and I don't want to put that kind of mileage on the Raptor. It will get used for some work related stuff (like the chipper pick up) but as an all round full use work vehicle, I don't think so.

VD glad to see that when you pulled your Shelby it didn't get under 10 mpg. With my mustang being much much lighter than yours i hope mine will get even a little be better.

I noticed they changed the "6.2L" insignia on the engine ...the early high-res pre-release pics said "6.2L ____" with a plug covering the word to the right of 6.2L. Another spy shot showed "6.2L BOSS" ...maybe that was just a (R) tm 'diversion' for the BOSS 302? :weg:

It is a visual reference for off-roading. Gives the operator a quick visual reference of the actual position of the wheels. You know - so you land SQUARE. :haha:

she made it back with no adverse effects to the vehicle. It drives so smooth and is so comfortable I don't know how it can be used for racing in the desert. She was very impressed.

I told you the ride and smooth and quiet. This is the most comfortable truck I ahve ever been in. I did notice that if you put it in tow/haul mode, it shifts differently and uses the engine to help brake.
