2011 MUSTANG SVT FRONT WHEEL: M-1007-SA1910

2011 MUSTANG SVT REAR WHEEL: M-1007-SA199

These might be the 19" versions of the 18" wheels that were recently released. There are no pictures so I can't say for sure whether these are the PP or non-PP wheels. The fronts are 19 x 9", the rears should be wider ... but the link to details is bad.

The rears are 20" X 10" on the PP. I saw this tonight as well, and thought it was silly to post the wheels without a picture.

The price of $500 bucks for a Forged Wheel with centre cap is pretty reasonable. IMO

Nice job FORD.

Ford Racing claims the new wheels are the 2011 Mustang SVT wheels. The front wheel is described as a 19" x 9" wheel and the rear is described as a 19" x 10" wheel (size is specified in the part number). Well neither of these sizes correlate to any production 2011 GT500 wheels, whether for the PP or non-PP models.

Non-PP GT500s have 19" x 9.5" wheels on all four corners.

PP GT500s have 19" x 9.5" front wheels and 20" x 9.5" rear wheels.

Since there are two different sizes, I suspect these are the PP wheels and FR is confused about the size of both wheels. :2cents:

That is confusinng and doesn't make a lot of sense on the part of FRPP, so they get a :yellowcard3:

FRPP just update the links with pictures. These are the 2011 PP wheels, but the size description (Rear 19 x 10; Front 19 x 9) does not seem consistent with the 2011 GT500 PP literature.

Saw that and that's not cool. I wonder if the FRPP Part number is different than the FORD Part # for the OEM Wheel?

I'm sure they are two completely different numbers. My gut is telling me that the size deviations and wording were used to satisfy Ford Parts and Service objections to FRPP offering the OEM wheel at a much reduced price. It has been the norm for quite some time, but my understanding (from a very successful FRPP distributor) is that they have been balking about it as of late. We shall see...

Dont particulary care for these wheels myself but at that price I'd rather have some Alcoas

I guess its a matter of individual taste, but I really like them.

I still prefer the 2010 gt500 wheels...especially since Ford racing sells the "look like" wheels (all 18inch size) for $140 each....

I really like the look of these wheels, but am not thrilled about having 19x9" in front and 19x10" in back - it'll almost certainly make the sidewalls on the rear tires shorter than the sidewalls on the front tires. That looks funny to me.

I'd be interested if I could put the 19x10" wheels on all 4 corners with wider than stock tires all around. I think they'll fit in front, but am not sure. Probably easier to just go with something like the Forgestar F14 wheels. That way I could pick the exact width I want, and would be able to go with 19's in the front and 20's in the back. I'd probably run into the uneven sidewall issue going this way as well though.

the first number is the diameter and the second is the width. the sidewall will be the same for both if you get the same aspect ratio (sidewall) on both front and back.

I know what the numbers mean. I also know from experience that when I took the stock size tires on my 09 and put them on a set of wheels that were 18x9" in the front and 18x10" in the rear (as opposed to 18x9.5" all around), the rear tires were shorter than the front tires. It looked odd.

Maybe I shouldn't have said sidewall when I was referring to the height of the tire.

I understand what you are talking about. Did you know that the front tires on our car have a different height from front to back. thats is why you cant put the fronts on the back. The fronts are shorter so what I was thinking is the tire guy put the wrong tire on the wrong wheel when you put them on the car they looked funny. Justy because you use a wider wheel wont make the tire shorter. However there is a limit as how wide you can go for a particular tire width.
I just checked my aspect ratio on my stock tires and front is P255 rear is P285 so there is a big difference
