The price of Max Performance RUN Flats used to be stupid. Now they are much more reasonably priced.

Have any considered going with a RUN FLAT?

Has any one put any on their Stang?

If so, are you happy with them?

We had run flats on our Mini.

What a difference when we changed them.

I wouldn't put run flats on anything again, they are very hard and you really feel everything.

Unless that's what you like?

I haven't had a flat in a very long time either. I think the last time was when a one inch by twelve inch piece of square aluminum tubing went through my tread and out the sidewall of my tire. I don't think a run flat would have stopped that.

I did worry about it making both trips to Orfstock 7 hours away.

Not sure what I would even do if we got aflat.

We have a car club that helps w/ flats and such, but where would they find a 305/35R18 tire if one of my rear tires goes flat? :surprised:

I have thought about putting in a spare since I don't track the car now.

I have 4 spare rims. I have heard they are too wide to fit in the space, but... I have thought about having one of them narrowed perhaps an inch or so to fit and just put a thinner tire on it.

That way it would fit in the tire well and it would work in a pinch on either the front or rear if I find the right height tire. It would have to be closest to the rear tire height I presume w/ the locker in the diff.

ATI did a thread on this on a different forum long ago. Maybe he can re-post it here for the newbies.

I think run flats are only sold as a wheel and tire combo. I dont think you can just buy a run flat and put it on you're car.
Just saying
