This is pretty impressive in this segment ...and possibly says more about Ford than the little Fiesta itself. Ford knows this car *must* be profitable and no domestic OEM has had a profitible car in this segment in modern times that I'm aware of. Cost constraints have traditionally produced relatively unsafe cars in this segment, so this could be a pretty impressive achievement both from both an engineering and a cost management perspective.
In any event Ford now has more top safety pics than any other auto manufactuer. Way to go Ford!
