Bone stock it ran 13.4 -13.6 @108-110mph. Wheel hop is a big problem. I will add a tune, control arms and tires to the mix to get into the twelves. Joe G if you read this I need parts for wheel hop control. :spend:

I think you need a set of drag radials to help with that hop. Not bad numbers for the first time in the new car. Adding a tune will only enhance that wheel hop even more. Good luck.......

If it is like the GT500 the LCA's are a great place to start for the wheel hop. The other thing to consider may be a Fays 2 watts link. This would set youup nicely for everything and get rid of the panhard/brace set up on the rear end. Joe knows more about these but the reviews have all been very good for the GT500.

Hiya Steve...
Suspension wise, LCA's + UCA will do 90% of what you want.
The Fays watts link will help - more so on the road vs. the track, but will surely help on the track too.
I know VMP has tunes for the 5.0 - I'll get you a price on that too.

Piece of cake: J&M upper control arm, J&M or BMR lowers. And yup, Mr. Starkey will have the cure to your tune issue. www.vmptuning.com
I was there the next night. 10.81@131 in that heavy old sled of mine.
Take a look at the Byron site for some stuff going on the 19th. They have a Camaro, a 125mph pickup, an 11 sec Caddy and moi lined up for a "Detroit Iron" face-off. The Camaro dude runs 10s as well and he's apparently a performance consultant for GM. (uh oh)
Would love to see you there.

The cool thing is they have my car billed as a "11 sec Mustang". :waiting2:
And as much as my M&H Racemaster DRs kick butt, I need a set of slicks for that day.

Nope. M&H 325/50/15 on Bogarts. Tread is 11.5" Big sidewall. VERY sticky (1.53 60' in a 4000 pound car!?)

Still stock but on a drag radial she went 13.0@110mph with a 1.89 60ft. I left at 3,000rpm to get that ET. Im thinking bigger burnout and 4,000rpm launch next time. The car is still stock which impresses me the most. I feel the magazines are getting better times because they drive for a living and I apply wax for a living.

Steve....join us at GLD next Sunday the 3rd for Ford Day. By the way, the Camaro was a no-show last week. I understand they were announcing today (Sat) that there is a rematch next Sunday. Interesting because no one asked me! (Byron). Ran a 10.74@128 over there last Sunday. The Camaro is a GM factory mule with 700 at the crank, a LSA motor (Caddy s/c) and a high stall auto with pro driver. Runs 10.80s. No way I could tree him and I know I don't have enough to run him down when he trees me!!
Anyway....I'm at GLD instead!! Come play!

Sweet. Sounds like it won't take much to get these cars into the low 11s.

Some suspension and a bigger drag radial should do it. Maybe some longtubes too.
