I had that problem the first couple months after I got my car & then it didn't happen again until this year on my way to Orfstock.

Mine has only happened twice.

Both times on return trips from Orfstock.

A year apart and about the same place????

Edit: I think it may have happened when I had the car a few months and it was really hot out.

Happened to me a few times, especially when the car's around 1/2 tk,......got to go very slowly ,or it'll click every 3-4 sec.

never happened to me and it's my daily driver, so I'm filling frequently. maybe it's operator error?

Bill, interesting that there's talk about it on virtually every Mustang forum (I looked at a half dozen of them) but this is the only actual answer I could find ...by a 17+ year Ford Tech (http://www.justanswer.com/ford/3jqf2-problem-refueling-fuel-pump-slow.html). Essentially a known problem on 2005s (built before 4/26/05, whcih is essentially the whole MY run) which resulted in a modified tank design but all 2007s should have the revised tank. Still, it's reported widely on 2005-2007 mustangs. I have seen several folks swear that when they use a differnt station/pump-type the problem goes away and the Ford tech even mentions using a diferent filing station. I'm thinking some nozels may fit a bit tighter than others and at high flow rates might trip the nozzle back pressure sensor -- even on on the revised tank -- so maybe filling at a slower rate might help too?

I haven't in a while because I no longer drive my car long distance or through mountainous areas. :nonono:

Sucks not being able to drive it where I want.

When does yours do it?

I had this issue the other day. I finely gave up and left the station with 1/2 tank

I never get more than 6-7 gallons anymore. :nonono:

I haven't had this problem but have heard from others that have and it seems to help if you hold the nozzle upside down when you fill the tank.

Only when I drive it. I've experienced it twice in the last five years.

This is w/ the "original" Shelbys, not the 2008's I believe.

I think it helps if you keep your battery at 1/4 charge.

Might be due to the 50lbs of sand I put in your gas tank last year.
