Just started looking at the 2011's, can you get a deal on these or are they asking
MSRP for them?

VaporDude
11-27-2010, 02:30 PM
It all depends on how motivated the dealers are around you. There have been people getting them at MSRP, just above invoice and everything in between. People have been getting good deals at COSTCO's or one of those other membership stores. If you are looking for a super cab, you might be able to find one that someone is trading in on a crew cab. There are a lot of people doing this so they get the extra room. Let me know and I can see if there might be one in your area that someone wants to sell.

While getting the chebby state insp, I wondered over to the ford place. They had a black one with red accent, no graphics, for $46. Also had a red roush stage 2 for $36. a guy was getting his 11 Shelby coupe worked on. Had the svt striping put on the rear lower valance. To bad he mount the front plate on the bumper....:doh2:

2011 F-150 SVT Raptor

2010 Boss 302R Mustang

Specialty vehicles are not generally eligible for the X-plan. If those Raptors have been on the lot for a while, you might me able to get them to lower the prices since the '11 are shipping now.

I don't have the number handy, but if you call Elder Ford in Tampa and ask to speak to Maurice Rojo. He is my salesman who gave me a good deal (under MSRP) on my Raptor. Tell him Greg Green referred you.

Haven't got it yet becasue another dealer in Florida would not do a dealer trade without being paid for it. I said "He11 No" to that so I had to order one. I ordered a 2011 6.2L SuperCab on 18 October in Tuxedo Black with nearly every option and got it for about $3K under MSRP.

Now I can tow it to Shelbyfest with the JIMGLO tiltbed trailer I am going to buy when I get home from this shiite hole country.

The JIMGLO trailers come in Black too

There is no freakin' way Momma D would let me go with the enclosed JIMGLO trailer. The Open TILTBED JIMGLO is less than $6K (New) and works with cars with very little ground clearance.

http://jimglo.com/products-tilt-bed-trailers.php

I was looking at a cheaper open trailer, but once this deployment came along the JIMGLO was a done deal.

No room and not enough money for the enclosed trailer and the Raptor has a 7,000lb max tow rating.

There is a guy on the Raptor board that placed an order for 2 Raptors in WI. The total for both was just under $90K. He is getting one crew cab and one super cab. Both were ordered with the same options and pretty well loaded and the same fast color, orange. One is for his wife and one is for him. She wanted the crew and he wanted the super cab. Not a bad deal for 2 trucks.

Sure he can do better than that. This is a small dealer and most larger dealers will do better because they sell more. If your dealer did $700 below dealer invoice, that would dig into their holdbacks. I know there are no rebates on this truck so that did not come into play.

the dealer invoice was $47,455 sold it to us for $46,740. the couple before us bought 2 and got them a little cheaper. the bigger dealers said no. Tasca wanted 2% over invoice, Michael Morris was $500 over invoice, Randy was $3000 off msrp, John (aka Shelby Dude) was $2000 off msrp, Don (aka 1badsho) was $1500 over invoice, Apple Ford here in town was $750 over invoice.

Probably because there's so much profit in trucks; in other words they're overpriced from the start. When I bought my Titan, the dealership was running a promo of $9,000.00 off any Titan in stock.

Some dealers are. The last time I was in Fayetteville, I went to the Ford dealer that I bought my GT500 from and was looking at the 2010 Raptors they had and they were asking $10K over. I told them they got me for $10K on the Shelby and there was no way I was playing that game again.

there is money built into the invoice that goes to the selling dealer. I've been told from other Raptor forums that there is about $3K (+ or -) in the invoice for the Raptor. If that is true this dealer made $2285 on the sale.

Yeah. Don't feel bad for a dealer who sells at/near/under invoice as they still make a chunk of change after the sale.

Now, they can't do it all the time and stay in business (profit's not a dirty word), but IMO a dealer who special orders a car for you, has no inventory cost to it, shouldn't ***** one bit about making a few thousand bucks from the hold back and selling around invoice.
