I might mention, I'm not opening an Photobucket or any type of account to host my images either. I don't want to leave any more of an evidence trail than I already am.

I upload them to photobucket and then post the image link from there into the text box.

If you try to upload a .gif file directly to this site, it will only recognize it as a .jpg type file and it will show it as a picture not a video. Might be something in the coding on this site. If I remember correctly, on SM you could upload a .gif file direct and it would work.

I've always used photobucket, and never had a problem.

As for the gif thing. It's a file size limitation that is set up by the host.

I've been trying to get it changed but I honestly got busy with other stuff. I'll try looking at it again soon.

tested Tek's photobucket Gif using 'manage attachments' and it converted it to a jpeg......see below

another test using a gif from my computer (not from a photobucket pic)


You can see it did work on one but not the other........don't know why though....

the program did automatically convert both to jpeg/gif ....must have something to do with that I guess...

I've come up w/ a final solution on this.

Since Tek seems to be able to post every .gif that no one else can, from this point forward, everyone send their .gifs to Tek to post for them.
