Anyone upgrade axles from 28 spline to 31 spline before?
I know the diff/carrier would have to match, but would the end seals be the same as factory?
Can't find anything on the seals and don't see them listed w/ axle sets.

I believe that the diameter of the axle would still be the same at the end of the housing. It just is bigger at the carrier end so stock seals should work

Just picked up the car from having my Torsen T2R 2.7 ratio diff, 31 spline axles and new bearings installed.
I think it is even quieter than my Trac-Lok set up. :wtg:
We'll see if I can feel real noticeable difference at the track, I hope so for how much it cost for the whole job. :surprised:
.
TG, I built up an entire rear for my fox coupe. Bare housing, Superior 31 spline axles, Torsen T2R differential, FRPP 3.55 gears, and M2300K brakes.

I set up the gears with a machinist friend of mine. The rear is very smooth and very quiet. The car feels planted at all times with it. You won't be unhappy with it. Good luck!

Awesome!
I was back and forth whether I wanted to keep my 3.73's or drop down to 3.55's, but decided to keep the 3.73's for now.
I think if I eventually add some more power I may have to drop down to get my shifting in a better spot on the road course.
.
I forget the math, but with the Tremec I slipped in, I hit the sweetspot at just the right moment. Maybe I'm wrong, I just felt as though the 3.73's would have me shifting too early.
Tob
says the guy that couldn't get 3.73's under his GT500 fast enough...
ON EDIT - the MM torque arm and panhard bar really helped the Torsen to shine as well.

I jumped on 3.73's in the GT500 as well.
They are great w/ a pulley and tune, but starting to push it w/ the TVS.
You get use to it I guess.

First and second are fun but useless, three to six are pretty sweet though...
