They're Aluminum not plastic, Just like the ones on the Super Snakes and KR's.

You should know me well enough by now Alan to know that I never have a point. But if pressed to make one, I would say I wouldn't bat an eyelash if these were 49.99, but at 129.99, it seems a bit egregious. I guess when their power plugs, which are made of aluminum too, sell for $22 http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/5s3z-15052-cs.htm (and they say SHELBY on them too), even if (and it's a big if) each of the wing pieces were made of the same amount of aluminum, then 4*$22=$88. SO even by Shelby standard pricing scale, they are overpriced.

I know a GT500 over near Mastersmech that the guy had all the emblems taken off the car when he bought it.

He took it to a bodyshop I work at and had them remove them all.

They are part of the original car, but like I said ....not why I bought it.

Well my wings were delivered today. I opened the box as soon as I got home from work and to my surprise they were very nicely done, Not really worth $130.00 but still very nice. I didn't have time to install them until this Saturday but my curiosity got the best of me and I took them out to the garage to see how they would look on the car. As soon as I uncovered the car I new I fuc screwed up, I have the Red Package with red cobras and the wings were lettered in satin black, so I temporally installed them with masking tape and YUK! They look terrible. The black letters on the wings clash with the red cobras and it just didn't flow with all the red accents on the car. I thought about repainting the letters red but I think it would be to difficult because the letters are not engraved their more like etched into the aluminum and the recess for the letters is thinner than a hair. I called the Shelby store and asked if the wings were available in red to match my red cobras and there was this loooong silence. Then he said that they only come in black. I explained my unhappiness with them and he said to return them and he would refund my money. It was still early enough to ship them back today so I ran over to UPS and got them on the last truck tonight.
FYI: Thew only reason I returned them was because of the color, The quality was very good.
