This is a screencap from the Ford website. It says the same thing on our window sticker and it says the same thing in every press kit and vehicle specifications page we've seen. The Brembo Brake Package ($1,695) gets you 19-by-9.0 Dark Stainless wheels, Unique ESC tuning and a Brembo Brake Package. This includes 14" Brembo rotors with four-piston fixed calipers and 11.8" rotors with two piston calipers in back.
Trouble is....this Mustang GT (just like the Convertible we tested earlier ) with the Brembo package has single piston rear calipers.

So?

Rear brakes don't do much work.

So is this a typo in Ford's POP materials?

Where talking cars not Motorcycles...:shades:

One can never have TOO MUCH braking on a high-performance car, on bikes the rears are not that important. IMO.

A tap on them will save you on a high Wheelie though...

Single piston rears are very adequate on the GT as log as swept area is adequate (which it is). This way FRPP can sell upgrades! I'd expect the BOSS to have a more serious package tho.

This topic has spread across the web like a brushfire. I really dont think people will get rid of their cars because of a marketing error although there seems to be alot of whining. The Brembos I have now are far superior to the Hawk HPS+ with rotor upgrade I had on my Shelby GT. I trap about the same mph with the 5.0 and the brakes feel better and can repeatedly stop versus what I had.
