My wife was bidding on this last weekend at a charity event. She didn't get it but then her friend had one her husband didn't want and offered it to my wife. Is it fun and worth the money? I think it's the one where you go 8 laps.

I did this at Dover Downs a couple of years ago. It wasn't through Richard Petty though. It was a lot of fun and much harder than you would think. The car naturally wants to go up the bank and into the wall so you are constantly fighting the inertia. A track with longer straighaways would be more fun in my opinion. Definitely worth trying.

They do that at Daytona also, I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had tickets. :wtg:

Yup. I did one at Texas Motor Speedway. It was a blast. After an hour or so of instruction, they would let us out in groups of 10 with no set speed limit (I.e. No pace car). I think the cars may have been limited to 160, but I couldnt tell. And passing was allowed in turn 2 in case there was a slowpoke (instructor sat shotgun and would warn the instructor in the car about to be passed). And yeah, now I know what sticky tires are. :wow2:
