Interesting brake ducts... but running the big ugly tubes through the rear window? :doh2:

And not much of a "racing cage" that doesn't go up front. :doh2:

It's actually a good start if you want an exclusive 'track car' but what's the point of doing all this for a street car.....the roll bar and rear brake ducts kills the functionality for the street IMO
That said I think APR did a beautiful job on the widebody kit though.

That thing is as wide as my Raptor and butt ugly.

I guess George and I are in the minority on this. I agree, I think it looks good if it was going to be a dedicated track car. Good catch by Joe on the roll cage though. Not really sure why they did it that way? I wouldn't do this to a street driven Shelby, that's for sure.

Not sure what the benefits would be to having a track car this wide nor in what road race series it would compete in? The FR500 is nowhere near this wide.

Further what race tires would it run to fill up the wheel wells?
Instead of this guy wasting all this cash on this Bollocks he could have bought a few of us a few years supply of :beerchug:.

He says he's running:
"The front wheels measure 20x10 and the back wheels measure 20x13. The wheels are wrappped with Nito racing tires on the front at 285/30ZR20's and on the back at a massive 345/25ZR20's"
As for what Birdy said... I agree that it's unique and that the rear brake ducts and cage would be beneficial for racing, but why spend so much for the fancy/non-functional visual mods and if you're going to build a cage, do a full race-ready version that would actually pass inspection. :nonono:

As far as I know those are NOT racing car tire sizes for any series in North America. The biggest racing car sz tires I can get here from the Pirelli Privateer site that I have access to for Motorcycle Race tires, is a 315/30/18, that would not come any where near to filling up that rear wheelwell. This guy was trying to build a TRANSFORMER http://www.cursorpedia.com/cur/thumb/transformerslogo.jpg not a Race Car. IMO

If you're gonna buy a pre-made cage that is basically what you get unless you wnt to do some welding.
My cage is only from the seats back too, but that is all that is available to bolt in.
To have one made locally that goes to the front would be $3000 plus. :faint:

The wide body kit COULD look good if it was part of an overall plan. Obviously a white roll cage in a black interior should be painted/powdercoated to match the interior. The widebody kit is more for appearances, not racing IMO. If he wanted to race it, the 20" wheels are not a good choice. Need a bit more sidewall.

Cheap price to pay to protect your cone. One should never skimp on a Helmet or a Cage for running at the track. JMO
