Why would someone need an adjustable one of these?

I have never had an issue whatsoever w/ my pulley.

I have my original Metco pulley I bought when my car had 750 miles on it.

I now have almost 30,000 miles and even changed to the TVS S/C?

I don't even have the double bearing pulley, which I have thought about changing to, but not sure why I would need to?

It's just and alternative. If someone goes to and even smaller SC pulley, adj this would help tighten and maintain belt wrap. I like the design, clean and simple.

Tue that, but anything can be re-powder coated.....

It looks nicely made and the variable adjustability is really nice and it might make it easier to dial the 'right' tension (dunno), but I don't see how it addresses the basic problem of a small pulley contact area and the attendant energy/unit -of-contact-area problem which is endemic to higher boost with small pulleys. Only a larger pulley will address that, I think ...which begs using a larger lower in concert.

If I remember right, he said they were coming out with a black anodized option? :waiting2:

That's the point, good catch Dan. Adjustability just allows increasing of the tension, with no mention of the side load impact on bearings (other than their claims to a superior bearing). Also, I'd like to see the back side of that slot...are there knurlings on it or some other thing to keep it from moving under high tension applications.

Although few of us have had issues with belt slip, I think those in the iceman category have.
