The police one is absurd (IMO) and this Explorer does look similar but would fit inside a Sequoia. So is this new Explorer on your horizon now George instead of a Raptor?

that said I'm still waiting for some more feedback from MC on long term the fuel milage both hwy and city of his new EcoBoost F150 before I make my decision...:waiting:

Looks good! I think it looks real nice in white actually. Love the pic of it being brought in by SkyCrane. :shades: I got a buddy who got out of the Marines and is a crew chief on one of those.

After riding in the front seat of one the other week, I thought it was one of the better SUV seating positions out there. Everything was set up right. It also worked well for someone bigger like me, as well as the manager who I was with, who was a small woman who was maybe 5'4" and 105lbs soaking wet.

Seeing the pics with all the seats down showing the cargo room impressed me, too.

Yes, it is definitely bigger inside than it looks from the outside. SHould have ours all sorted out tomorrow. Still haven't decided what to do wrt to the F150.

There was a nice XLT on the lot when we drove through today. I was a little surprised how low to the ground it sits but the roof height is not much lower than my crappy jeep. I'm trying to convince Kelly this would be a good car for her. She seems to be getting over the minivan bug thank goodness but I'd still like to go for a while with no car pymt. since we've just got a few months left on her commander. I really like the new explorerlooks though. I have yet to drive or sit in one though.....maybe I can package 2 jeeps and a harley for a rapor and explorer :)

Still got your Deuce Ice? That's a nice bike and if I remember it has only a few miles on it.

yes - very nice and very few miles. I just have never really made an effort to sell it since it osts nothing to sit there but I wouldn't mind losing it either. It's one of those things where I will get rid of it for the right price but I am not really looking to do anything with it either. 100 yr. anniv. bike and I like the look a lot, just never ride anymore (or rarely) with young kids and the Shelby I would rather take the car...though if gas keeps going up the bike may see more action this summer.

+1

The gas is just getting stupid!

2003 was I think the best year for that Bike. Now HD don't even make it anymore, it never really caught on and I didn't understand that, as it's a classic looking Motorcycle, beautiful lines.
If I had one I'd drop it a bit in the back and that's it, it looked great out of the crate!

Finally saw the new Explorer in the flesh last week ...and XLT in White Platinum Metalic Tri-coat, 20" wheels, moon roof, power liftgate, Sync, MyFord, more (can't remember all). Man, it was gorgeous! I happened to pass by yesterday and it was gone!! Maybe they just moved it, but it was on the lot, so it might have sold ...I beleive Explorer presently has the shortest in-inventory turn of any Ford product.

Yup. They sell faster than anything I've seen. The day I picked up Beth's, there were 3 other Limiteds that arrived on the truck................each one was already sold. ANd yes, I still owe moar pics, but the move this weekend has sapped me. I have no finger strength to even press the camera button. You have no idea how hard it is to type with your nose.

In its redesign, the Expedition should take some styling cues from the new Explorer. Maybe over the next year or so
it will happen.

Of course, momma's feeling guilty now as Kherington has her first full blown cold (poor thing is all stuffed up and coughing). While there is no connection I'm sure, Beth certainly feels a bit guilty I think.

Between that and the 1,000,000 boxes strewn across the rent house, it may take some time (heck, I think I slept on a wire hanger last night).

I heard Ford is going to stop producing the Expedition. They have the Flex which easily has as much or more room than the Expedition so why keep it I guess.

The FLEX is not an option, no BALLZ (power) and looks strange. JMO Most Kids and Women don't like it.

It is clear with the discontinuation of first, the EXCURSION which was an amazing Truck and now the NAV and the Expedition, that FORD are content to make vehicles for families with 2 kids or less that don't play any sports and leave the Full sz SUV Truck Market to Government Motors.

but Flex does have the 3.5 Ecoboost...

...and you don't have to get the two-tone/white roof thing.

...they're pretty cool, imo. Love the huge glass-roof option, AWD, and patented sill design that is friendly to pant legs after driving on a muddy road ...unique to the Flex.

If you wait til Spring, you can get the Ford Flex with the :canada: Bacon option! Under the middle armrest is a convection oven that's connected to the cats. You can cook a 1/2 lb of juicy bacon in under 5 minutes flat.

Can't get that in any Gov't Motors product! :judge:
