Added a basic oil cooler to the Track Turd.

Not many places to put it.

Just some pics....

Had to put a high heat hose around my clutch cable.
The new clutch cable sat against the oil pan at VIR and melting through the outer plastic casing. :surprised:

Nice, TG!!

I thought you were concerned about putting it in front of the radiator ...that the oil viscocity might remain too high if too cool. I think it will be fine there. :wtg:

I believe this is a small cooler. Not sure how to size to my needs.

This along w/ a water/water wetter mix, I'm hoping to drop up to 30 degrees off engine temps if that is even possible.

That might be very possible. Antifreeze ismuch less dense than water so should extract more BTUs.

what temperature are you seeing on your car during track sessions after these mods? Are you running a stock radiator?

I have an aftermarket radiator.

On the track I "think" I'm seeing 230-250 degrees on a hot day. BUT....I don't know if those numbers are correct?

Looking at my stock gauge it looks barely over normal at half gauge.

I think my sensor is not positioned correctly.

I moved it but I still show up to 255 degrees on day and I know that isn't right.

I have an oil cooler, aftermarket radiator, 180 thermostat, Hi Performance water pump and run water wetter instead of anti=freeze.

I should easily be around 220-230 on a hot day at the end of a run on the track.

ok the new track car was running about 210-220 over the weekend but it wasn't too hot either only high 80's so will see how it does when I learn to drive it better and push it a bit harder on a hotter day.

That is a great temp.

When we went the last 2 times temps were in the mid 90's. And my car is supercharged which can add a bit of heat, didn't remember if yours was S/C'd or not.
