Anyone know the oem part number for the banded blue sensors for my 09?
I found several part numbers but not sure which. I see the TPMS-9 is for 18" rims and FR3-20001-07AA and 6F2Z-1A189-A. TPMS-3 looks generic?

Which is correct and closest fit for my 20's?

If anyone has some for sale let me know too ;)

Thanks

I was just informed by the suppliers of my new rims and tires that the banded sensors are no longer available from FOMOCO. They, according to this source, have switched to the valve stem mounted sensors. I looked for the sensor I recently had replaced, to check for the part number, but I can't find it right now. I have asked if you can mix the types of sensors but have not gotten a definitive answer yet. They apparently use the same training tool so logic would say that you could, I will test the theory as soon as my new set of valve stem mounted sensors arrive.

Thanks! I shouldnt have sold mine with my rims. Was just trying to sweeten the deal as I got a good price for them.
Figured I would just buy another set from AM but they look like they only have the valve stem types and someone told me that banded work up to 2009 and stems from 2010+

I have new rims and was gonna try to overnight a set before I mount the tires Sat but oh well maybe press the reset button for a few more months til I need new tires

Try to order the Sensors for a 2008 or 2009 Ford F150 Truck with a 20" Wheel package, that will get you the 20" bands you need and the actual TPMS sensors are the same.

That is what I did for my Alcoas and no issues.

Looks like that would be a TPMS-10 Thanks. Now just to find them on ebay new for a decent price. $37ea so far is lowest

I found this chart for them
http://www.machenry.com/documents/TPMSApplicationChart.pdf

These look like they are the valve step type for 07-09 but are they any good?

Or maybe just try to get the F150 Bands from the dealer and find just the TPMS on ebay or used. Just and idea.

I thought you couldn't register the valve stem sensors on pre-2010 cars...didn't I just read that here the other day or was that at TS?

It doesn't matter if it is a banded sensor or a valve stem type sensor. It is the sensor itself that matters. You need to get a version of sensor that is for your specific car.

These are what AM sent me:

http://www.oro-tekusa.com/AppGuide.aspx?Make=54&Year=2008&Model=688&SubModel=1441

I'm a little unhappy that they aren't OEM but after having two FOMOCO sensors fail in a week I guess I'll give them a try.

I can now confirm that the ORO-TEK sensors do train with the standard Ford TPMS training tool and work fine when mixed with OEM sensors.

That's good to know. I just went through that when I put on my new wheels. The guys at Roger Krause Racing weren't sure if using non-Ford sensors would work. I ended up using the sensors off my stock wheels with some new bands. I was able to sell my old wheels in a single day without the TPMS to a guy with an 07 GT.

:party:I used the Oro-Tek TPMS sensors when I replaced my OEM wheels with 2012 SVTPP takeoffs. The training process worked great using the Ford TPMS tool. I understand the Oro-Tek sensors go to sleep if you don't train them within 1 hour of inflating the tires and to wake them up you have to deflate, wait 5 minutes and then re-inflate. So that's what I did and it worked like a champ.
