SU is operational, has more than 3 members and we do not drink each others Bathwater.

If you are still in touch with the unsavory ownership that currently own the site, I think I speak on behalf of all SM Lifetime Members in requesting a refund of our fees and whatever else is owed.

If a refund does materialize I pledge to donate mine to charity.

But your request was kind and polite.......and you did the best you could. So all you can do is move on, and keep info in other locations current. And I suppose that if you kept your contact info current, you could be sent an email for any pms or posts about the event......

When the site came back and I eventually could see it, it said, to the effect, that if all I can post is useless info maybe I shouldn't bother coming back. Wth? I could not even respond, but the "report" button worked, so I reported the post :hahaha: with an appropriate comment. Then I was able to access the site and posted 1 post (required entering a code and then the post was delayed 24 hours ...wth?). I merely commented to Monkey Boy on Mr. White's Av slogan (Monkey Boy's Roomie, or something like that -lol), now I'm banned, I guess, because I can't access anything. I really don't have much of a clue as far as what went down there. I *can* tell you that I've been bombarded with gibberish emails trying to explain the entire mess. I don't think I read any of them beyond the first paragraph. It had something to do with "management" as far as I can tell.

I followed Joegie and some other folks to SM. I tried to blend, but after a bit the site came off as "clique or outcast". You can pretty much guess where I fell. It sort of reminded me of when SU switched to TS. SU was a place where all Mustang people were welcome. Then, like flipping a light switch, all of a sudden if you didn't own a Shelby product, you weren't worthy of their forum.

This place has an entirely different feel, IMO. It's based on a common interest (not just Shelbys, Mustangs in general), and it's composed of a great group of people. That's the foundation for ANY good site. I really like this place, and I'm looking forward to kicking back here.

I'm not sure who will agree/disagree, but IMO, any of you lingering on SM is the equivalent of me on TS. It's very Twilight Zone. I understand that nosing around is sort of like looking at a car crash...........you don't want to, but you just can't help yourself. Trust me, in time, you'll walk away and never look back, unless it's to laugh.

I do believe that there needs to be at least one thread to discuss things that did happen over there though. Many friends out there are still in the dark and looking for answers. Some have been told many lies along the way by the SM owner himself and he has done things that do need to be addressed. Trying to hush this topic is futile. People have been burned, feelings hurt, lies told, etc., etc., etc. Don't close off needed discussion and opininons.
