Would 285/30/ZR18s work on all 4 corners on stock rims?

I would say yes, as it is the wheels that matter the most. The 285's up front may affect your turning radius though. If you buy them and they don't work, I will buy them off of you with a slight discount, since they are used at that point

These cars are nose-heavy so narrower rubber up front (relative to rim width) helps make turn-in more responsive/instantaneous (quicker 'set'). If 285s are also used up front and fit ok (don't rub, etc) they'll probably 'soften' turn-in a bit. That can be partially compensated for by adding a couple pounds pressure up front (at the expese of a harsher ride) and possibly also dropping the rear pressure a couple. If you don't adjust front pressure with 285s up front on stock-width wheels, the car may be a tad less stable at high speed too.

Nice tires!!

Go here (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html) and see the difference in sizes. It also gives you dimensions of both the original size and your new size. It is a very handy tool. You 'll also need to adjust your tire size on the ECU.
