We started to detail a Chevelle and storms rolled in quickly so we closed the garage door and waited it out. The garage shook and this is what happened next.

After the storm passed we looked at the damage.

There is a Chevy Suburban under there.

We went back to detailing since we couldnt leave due to the streets all being closed.

Glad to see that no one was hurt. Can't trust those old silver maples. they are very brittle!

Very fortunate there wasn't more damage, especially to the Chevelle! Glad no one was hurt.

Now that's dedication. Great looking job on the Chevelle.

Cleaning up after a storm like that is the pits.

Thanks everyone. The Chevelle was sitting right next to the truck when I did my pre-detail inspection. As soon as the skies turned we pulled it in the garage and shut the doors. There was more than just the Chevelle in the garage too. The owner has muscle cars on lifts in the garage. Its a GM garage thats for sure.

Talk about dedication......you guys were very wise to move inside. So what other cars does he have?

I didn't know the Camaro had a 302. I thought they only made 305's or 307's.

They were built to run Trans Am and the engine cube limit was 302 I believe.

yep ...302 CID ...here's a pic I took of the four major brads' 302s at the 1971 TransAm at Watkins Glen  ...looks like Parnelli Jones' (actually I think George Follmer was driving the #15 BOSS 302 that day), Mark Donahue's #6 AMC Javelin, Camaro and Charger -- fun stuff!!
