This might have been posted already but I couldn't find a thread on it, but is there an issue with the sites notification emails?

I haven't been receiving them for the last week or so.

If talking about subscribing to threads for email notifications, it's possible it defaulted and cleared. The site recently did updates which might account for it....not sure, but it'll be looked into.

Sorry for the delay is response. Exactly, notifications when you subscribe to a thread. This one for example. I subscribed when I opened the thread. I also subscribe to anything goes and northwest events, and I haven't received any notifications for at least 3 weeks.

Are you still receiving them?

Okay Grad, I just changed something in your profile.

Did you get an email for this?

You may have to re-subscribe since my change, not sure.

You may have to re-subscribe your other threads too?

But remember, if no one does a post in the subscribed thread, you won't get a notification....

Sometimes when clicking through from an email, it's easy to acccidently click on the unsubscribe link ...especially if there's lots of other links (like pics, vids, etc) in a post since each one shows as a link in the email notification.

If he clicks on ThradTools (above 1st post on every page on the right) and the last choice is "subscribe" then somehow he got unsubscribed. If it says "unsubscribe" as the choice, then he should be getting emails (since he's already subscribed).

Also, if he subscribed to the whole forum/section, he may not get email notifications for every thread -- he may just get an email notification indicating what forums/threads have had activity ...all in one email. Not clear exactly how it works but I've noticed there are at least two different types of notifications (aside from the various intervals).

It always say "unsubscribe". Also if I went in my profile, subscription folder it would list the threads.

you are correct. When I subscribe to an area I do the daily notifications, which is just one email, listing all that days activities in subscribed area.

As you probably could tell, I didn't receive any notifications.

...thanks for the feedback, GT500_Grad

Dunno what's up. I use thread subscriptions for everything and haven't seen any problems, except for occasionally delays (like not getting any for 8 hours and then getting 40 all at once) and occasional subscription losses but resubscribing has always worked for me

Only other thing I can think of that might be worthwhile is: unsibscribing again, then logging off the forum (not just shuting down the browser), then closing your browser, clearing temp-files and cookies (in control program > Internet Option > Delete > select temp files and cookies checkboxes, then click Delete), and then logging back in to the site and resubscribing to that thread.

If that doesn't work then an admin(??) may have to reset your account.

[edit:] oops, I was posting while you were ...if it's working now, great!!

Always check your 'spam' folder to see if the Email notifications are going there.....that happens sometimes if you just delete Emails without reading them. It sometimes reclassifies future ones as spam. I've seen this happen with my own Email.
