Brand new 2000 Cobra-R Hemmings listing (http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/ford/mustang/1291799.html)...pretty cool!! ...but a BOSS would blow it's doors off for nearly $20K less.

True but do you think the current Boss offering will ever be worth what these Cobra-Rs are worth?

No. Too many of them compared to the Cobra-R's. :moneyman:

A 2000 Cobra R isn't worth anywhere near that to me so it's a tough comparo. I think the BOSS-LS will be a mustang that appreciates over time ...especially one that's still brand new -- in-the-wrapper -- in 2022 ...when the Volt-3 is out there :haha:

Man I would love to have that.

I see a bunch of them at VIR all the time.

During their anniversary last year at VIR there were about 7-8 at the show and about 10 that were hitting the track.

One bad thing about that car sitting.... it has a FuelSafe gas tank. The foam insert is only good for 5 years once gas is put into it.

I would bet if gas was ever put into it it wouldn't get 5 miles down the road before the fuel system was clogged up w/ the deteriorated foam. :nonono:

Yes.

His still ran 10 years later, but when we pulled it apart it was totally messed up and clogged the lines, pumps, filter etc in the process.

Total mess.

So you change the foam every couple of years. Do it on drag cars all the time.

To change it out on a FuelSafe tank is $1750 ! :faint:

Two used 4-wheelers are good for, what, 4 replacement foam tanks? ...then ...3-4 years/tank ...that's 12-16 years ...you'll be as old as dirt by then :haha:
