I don't think I would do this but it seems to be interesting:

I was a little confused with whether or not, this was going to be a Ford Racing offering.

I thought Ford Racing would be offering something along the lines of a Lightning supercharger upgrade kit.

I don't know - but if they do that would be something i would consider I think. More and more I am becoming a Ford Racing bigit.

I agree, it comes down to a trust in Ford Racing tunes and design, even it means a little less horsepower (advertised). I'm not willing to risk a new engine on a non-Ford Racing product.

That is a cheap price for that setup. I wouldn't mind getting one but I would need to see some reviews first.

You've seen my car. I've been slowly switching badging from SHELBY to Ford Racing for years...

There are starting to be more supersharger options for the Raptor out there. I was trying to look into what Tasca (www.tascamodshop) may have but it looks like their web site is down or gone? Is that address right?

I came across this info for the Raptor from Rousch: http://svtusa.com/2012/01/roushcharger-now-available-for-the-f-150-svt-raptor/

Last I heard whipple is trying to work on something with Ford Racing too. I think if i decide to jump into another car payment and get the Raptor my mods will be much slower going on this.

I just talked with the Tasca folks. The modshop website is down. I won't post up the details but they are in the process of rebuilding it from scratch ...will take some time.

Btw, I found out that on the very first run at Bradenton (just in the last half-hour) Carl's Cobra Jet laid down a 7.965 @ 172.1 :faint:

Looks like it is back up now but no Raptor info :(

No car payment the Raptor availability out there is burning a hole in my pocket......AND I just found out my tax season will be the best in about 5-6 yrs. I actually get money back from state! Not enough to cover Federal but since I prepaid a little and paid county tax during the year this time I'm only in the hole about 40% of normal :) 1 relatively small tax check in April and I'm done - no payments for months on end!

Now if I can just hold off to see what the 2013 model will bring that the 2012 doesn't have.....

There is always something new for the next model year, but just go get the 2012 Raptor. You won't regret it.

You are good at spending my money :).....and we're not even married :)

I want to but I am trying really hard to hold off and be responsible for a little while. Waiting to see what's new in 2013 isn't that long of a wait and could get me a little farther ehaed. If I buy one I am going to do the 36 mo. finance option and just try to double up payments and get it done asap. even after only 1 month with no toy payents the cash flow difference is nice....and right in time for the spring break trip to cancun (Which I am flying not driving or the Raptor would be a must)
