Hi Ho Hi Ho It's Off To The Gym I Go. Anyone else a workout junky?

40 mins elliptical in the morning and a work out at night 5 days a week.

I'm a two a day guy as well. 3 mile run in the am and weights at lunch.

Its to hot to run outside, even if it wasn't, there is no way i'd be out there. We have lunatic drivers.

I do a circuit in the evening..

I do it only so I can eat more, but actually I don't enjoy it. I do 60 minutes on either the elliptical or treadmill about 3x a week. Occasionally I do some weights or swim in the lap pool also.

In winter I increase to 4x a week.

I'm with you there. If I didn't work out I'd be as big as a brick poop house. But I do enjoy it, and it actually get addicting.

walk every day at lunch instead of eating (I eat small meals every hour or so)......torso workout every day....weights (pyramiding process) 3 times per week followed by protein drink (the cheap eas powder from sam's club)

...am happy at the progress, considering my age and the fact I was sedentary and very overweight for almost 30 years......but still have this little bit of gut that just bugs me....has to go.

...got into this little town in west central ks late this evening....kinda out by hsurb, and found it had a finely equipped gym (go figure..this is not much of a place)....so spent an hour or so beating myself up.......luckily no matter how bad it gets, I seem to be pretty trouble free in the morning....probably due to the warmup effect of the pyramiding. wish I had started this decades ago...John

Up at 4 am and in the gym at 5 am monday thru fri. meet with a group of guys at 7 am on saturday and sunday to run 5 miles. Been doing this routine for 20 years.

Iworkedoutmy entire life until the last 6 yrs or so. It's off and on now. I do it when I have time and work is less busy but $ trumps Muscle for me these days. I also don't like working out now since I blew out shoulders and have to stay at lower than my body weight on most upper body major muscle excersizes (Bench,Incline,even lat pulls are tough). I did throw up a few reps of 275 on bench to win a bet for a pack of M&M's in FL though :) I work for chocolate :)


And my left shoulder held ok but the right one was not thrilled with the weight. I did not pop but I bet 315 would pop something.....sad because this used to be my close grip weight :(

I know what you mean kids are definitely a work out. No need to lift weights on weekends when you have kids. Here are some of my weekend workouts.

**** Iceman you must be a big fella!!! 315 close grip is a ton of weight. The highest I get now a days is about 295-305 with a normal grip, but then again I only weigh 184 pounds now.
