Yes I'm in the right forum. :shades:

Finally found something to close the gaping hole in the front bumper of the F150 a little.

Now I know it's open for a purpose, but it's a direct shot to the intercooler behind it.

So to help deflect rocks and debris I covered it a bit.

So w/ a little skil-saw and heat-gun work :shades: I made something work.

That looks good Bill but I would keep it black. I don't think chrome would look very good in that area.

:rofl3: No thought involved.

Okay, a couple days ago I thought about trying this knowing I had a couple old grills.

So I measured the approx opening.... 8x 20 ?

Then I checked the grill.

I ended up cut the grill w/a skil saw (messy) to 9 x 22

I cut off the tabs on the back and the thick end across the top.

I heated up the back of the grill in the center only. Heated it enough to bend it a little flatter.

I did all this in like 5 minutes because I really wasn't expecting it to work.

Then I took the piece and worked it in from underneath the truck between the bumper plastic and the fascia plastic....just enough room to squeeze it in.

Then from the front and w/ the hood up could work it into place, I had to remove once to cut down slightly.

Then put it back into place, centered it and using some factory holes that are in the bumper I zip-tied the grill piece in place.

Re checked centering and tighten zip ties.

Should hold pretty well. If the zip ties happen to break over time the part will stay in that area because it's too tight to fall out.

Did all this in about 20 minutes.
