Test drove a loaded 2012 F-150 King Ranch w/ecoboost engine today and was very impressed. Daddy wants!!

Good thing the only one on the lot was black, or I might have driven it home. I'd want either the red metallic or the blue flame.

Decisions, decisions...

As I work on leather on a daily basis, I never understood them making seats out of raw leather?

Looks awesome for a few years...but then dump that thing as quick as you can.

I know I have re-dyed at least 50 King Ranch trucks over the last 10 years.

About $300 and no guarantee on rawhide type leather :shades:

Good to know about the seats Tommy, thanks.

Edit: They had a red metallic Lariat that I liked as well. It had everything except nav, which I really want though.

Not to deter you, but something to think about if you keep your vehicles long term.

I drove a 2012 F150 w/ Eco boost yesterday. Very nice truck! I love the engine and how much room was on the inside. Very comfortable and quite. I saw 25 mpg at about 65 with the instant mpg gauge. Very impressive.

Our guage must definitely be broke. :nonono:

I don't think ours has ever been over 17-18 mpg?

I don't care how fast we drive, that is a huge difference.

Why not take it to the dealer and ask why the mileage is so crappy. A camper shell should not make that much difference as it only weights about 150 lbs.

He also has those large 'Wings" I mean trailer towing mirrors sticking out both sides like air brakes.....you have to consider that as well.

Have you tried to hand calculate the MPG? Just to find out if it is off.

My truck should come in the third week in February. I wasn't sure about the Eco Boost - so I went with the 6.2 liter. It will probably suck on gas mileage, but hey, this is America. I want the power. Screw the hybrids.

Probably close to the same mileage.

I know that. I was referring to the hybrids like the Volt and other battery options out there.

The Eco Boost is a totally different option that just hasn't been out long enough to know how it will handle a 28' enclosed trailer. That's why I went with the 6.2 liter.

Oh, and screw the hybrids . . . again. :haha:

Yep

I think they only offer the 6.2 engine anyway. That's why I didn't/couldn't get one I wanted the EB. That is one beautiful truck!
