Hudlow, Hawk and Cook Win Cobra Jet Showdown
Robbie Hudlow won last weekend’s Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Jackie Jones Ford at Bradenton Motorsports Park .
Hudlow’s 428-powered Cobra Jet took out Gary Richard in the final round, with Hudlow running a 9.67-second ET to Richard’s 10.27.
It was the debut race for the Hawk and Cook Cobra Jet, which started life as a Ford Racing body-in-white kit built by Ken Keir Race Cars in Owings , MD. Power comes from a 428 cubic-inch V-8 based off a Ford Racing BOSS 351 block (http://e.adtrak360.com/q/uY05DsgFq8o9FMoBOobxJDqSVYK-JVT19qxB69AQOFrp997Go21S7Ue7P) and Z cylinder heads (http://e.adtrak360.com/q/S53MG0XRE5-BT_619ivInlKKmc_wo-zUkOI8NkCh9RTDksBGPQbL388zK). The team plans to compete at this weekend’s Gatornationals and in NHRA’s Northeast Division 1 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
