View Full Version : Question about Whipple 123mm CAI

Does anyone here know if the Whipple 123mm CAI will fit with the KR strut tower brace? I am still trying to find a way to get rid of my rubberized intake tube and was wondering if the Whipple 123mm carbon fiber tube would work on my car. Thanks in advance for the help.

hmmm,great question but have my doubts,it doesn't clear our stock bar at all..makes me wonder if it will with the KR's.But if you'd like to check it out on SVT's site,Tob did a thread on how to mod. the stock bar to fit with the 123mm though!!

the kr brace is quite a bit lower than the oem....

Problem solved. One of my co-workers is friends with a guy who does custom paint on motorcycles. I brought the intake over to him and he was able to airbrush it. He used a special kind of paint that is supposed to be flexible, plus the inside of the intake has a hard plastic tube in it...which was the only area he painted on. Best part was he wouldn't accept any payment from me as I'm a friend of my co-workers. I figure I'll buy him a nice bottle of wine as I know he likes his reds. Here's the intake...
