Came up with this little idea for a cover, just a little detail but think it came out nice imo, have a friend that works in printing so made this using a 1/8" abs composite sheet..(always liked that ID tag from Cobras,so here's my version, sorry for the size of the pic guys, just noticed that the pic's cut?? cover's ok though, finish is not what the pic shows)

Looks nice.
Remember the amount of heat in the compartment, choose a glue wisely. :shades:

Thx guys I appreciate it..one thing I noticed though is with the roughly 1/8" abs,the "white siding" of the piece bothers me a bit...My friend also gave me some thinner, just like a sheet of paper but still abs might go with that one..good point TG with the heat, what I'll try is sand down the cover a bit and with a brush, just put some "crazy glue" all over it,I think this stuff does miracles sometimes imo...Other idea I had was going to a vinyl/decal shop, get them to print one for me and try that...dunno yet..Glad you guys liked the idea though, thx again!!

Put some holes in the corners and use some small screws to attach it. Stainless would look nice. Very mechanical looking

it's printed Alan..what would you think of an overlay from a good "decal shop"?...could be a simpler/cheaper option, getting requests for these...dunno

Not sure on the overlay, I would need to see one done. It would be a lot simpler if it looked good.
I was thinking that if you were engraving the plastic maybe you could try to engrave the aluminum fuse box covers many are using and then fill the engraving with matching body color paint for contrast and then use a standard cobra fender emblem like your picture shows. Just a thought
