Today I went to shop I work at. I saw my favorite mustang a 2004 mysticchrome Cobra, I remeber first seeing that car at the 03 auto show and flipping out LOL. We ordered one and sadly turned it down for a 04 mach 1 in black : (. I hope I find a low mile mystic , only thing is the paint is so hard to match it's probaly really nerve wracking to drive.

Having a sweet car with a custom paint color can be very nerve wracking, especially parking it. A serious love-hate relationship.

I know, black is really bad to its like you clean it you park it outside and you see every little thing lol. Im just a perfectionist sadly, Im worse then most people I detail the 07 and theres times it gets me so frustrated I have to walk away.

Try having a black car that you can't wax and can't buff any scratches out of and you will feel my pain.

Hell ya I still want one to thos day. But I don't think there are to many to my standards in detailing. Im worse then my dad when I get my car im spending a week detailing it on a low speed with the machine, under the car to remove rust and clear it.

Black cars don't make me cry, I just squint to see them way back in my rear view mirror.

Need more practice? There's a dirty Black Vert in my garage that could use some TLC. :webers:

My dad's friend sells this stuff it works great!!!!! I cleaned the KR when it was in the hall of kings, The cars were in a dirty old ford dealership and after I used this stuff there was no more dust on car for rest of the weekend (No Joke). I cleaned my moms taurus with it and I was driving her car in the rain and the rain just flew off the car in the matter of mintues. Its called Croftgate USA full kit is all for 100 bucks. Comes with pre-cleaners,tire cleaner, interior cleaner,wax/polish its spray on to, very easy to use.

Maybe you would like to get some Mystichrome Cobra seats for your black mach?
TMI Uphulstry in Riverside, CA has purchased the last of the remaining mystichrome material that Ford used.
They are oficially licensed and not too bad of a price but there are only a few sets available (20 I think)

Thanks, but unfornately the Mach is gone. We sold it for a 70 w-30 442 and a 68 Hurst olds, they needed to be restored once we got the 07 they got sold. New cars outrun a old car in everway and you can find the parts.

Heres some pictures what we were playing with before the s197 era most of you know we were always mustang lovers, dad had a 71 442 as a kid. We had a very clean 89 5.0 during this......... 91599156915391549155 Black one is a 1970 w-30 original color was burnish gold the picture next to it is the car in the 70s, got into an accent so owner painted black (new owner restored it) The brown one is a 71 442 w-30 we did a frame off resto. We went crazy trying to find every exact bolt. Original color was saturn gold with black stripes. Both cars are 4 speeds, The 70 is alittle rarer since it was a stripe delete, infact I personally think it was meaner looking then the 71. Heres the 68 didn't keep very long. 9158 Im glad were back with all Fords the events are WAY more exciting LOL.
