Well I'm having a tough time finding bf Goodrich kdw2 I see they switched to bf Goodrich kdw nt but still having a tough time finding a matching set
255/45/18 front
At least 285/40/18 (although would go wider since my rear wheels are 10" )

Anyone have any suggestions? Has to be a tire that can perform in high heat of Florida as well as wet roads since my car is my DD...
Obviously would like a tire that has some grip and decent tread life
Thx

Go with the KDW's at Tire Kingdom next to the 7-11 at the corner of Rt60 and Mount Carmel. Its less than 1 mile from the house. They can have them for you in a couple of days. Go 285/35/18 and 255/35/18. The slightly reduced sidewall will not be an issue.

These are the tires I am going to get as well. However, I will be doing 295/35/18 in back and 275/35/18 in front

I don't drive mine in the rain and w/ 650 rwhp I don't have a suggestion for wet roads either. :sorry:

If I go with reduced sidewall (not something I really want to do as it will make ride less comfortable ) if I did I would probably go with 295 width .. I have to see pricing on them ... By the way be carefull with those morons at that tire kingdom... They had my car a couple weeks back and did the brakes and checked the tires ... Had my right front tire over filled to 48 psi.. Only way I found it was when my right rear got a
Small leak in it and I checked air pressure in all 4 tires to see which one was setting of tpms..
Couldn't believe it.. I would go to the tire kingdom by my work as I developed a better level of trust with them

I like the nitto 555's... Great all around tire... Even passed the hail test...

I've seen that Nitto Tires run smaller in width compared to other tires? Have you noticed it??

The only other tires I can compare are the factory ones, and it is a night and day difference in every aspect... The Nitto's are quieter, grip better, and handle better... I took them thru a freak hail/rain storm cloud, and wasn't slowing down... I was worried about doing 360's but the tires held her down like glue...

I guess if they are a bit narrower, everything else about them makes up for it... I guess one downside is they may wear out faster than some tires because of the softer rubber, but that is speculation on my part...

Yes. But it varies from model to model.
M own experience...
555R 315 are close to a 285 in other brands.
NT05 (non R) 315 are roughly other models 295-305 (closer to 305).

Put it another way, on my car I had to run a 3/8 spacer to clear a 315 M/T ET Street on a 10.5 rim.
Same rim with a 315 555R cleared without a spacer.
Same rim with a 315 NT05 (non-R) required a 1/4 spacer.
(The spacers are to clear an IRS subframe mounting bolt on my car
but they demonstrate the variance in tire width quite nicely).

I currently run the NT05s but am only pushing around 500 at the tire.
Great for straight line hookup and decent lateral stability.
Have had no problem with them in the rain either.
