I'm not kidding, went to my first Post in my Stanley Cup Thread to edit and post the prizes and the EDIT button is not there.
Just reporting a bug...

I think there is a time limit to edit. It's not a bug.

This thread dedicated for those members experiencing problems within the site. Please be specific and if able, where warranted, post a screen shot of what your seeing so the admins can look into it.
The "troubleshooting" thread in the technical forum is for car issues only. Thanks. All previous posts of site issues will be moved here to keep them consolidated.

Joker can you make this a sticky or a separate forum under Site Suggestions? Then move post 7 to the top or paste into a new start page..Thanks.

Made your post 7 a sticky in it's own thread. Hope that's what you wanted.

i was thinking a sub forum, and when members have issues, they can start a thread for each issue, and we can address w/o them getting all mixed up.

Yes, not having the ability to edit one's own content when one wants to, is SOVIET. JMO

No Soviet is after someone complains the guys in the black suits show up at your door and shoot you in the head in your own home.
Aren't you glad there is a difference between this site and a soviet one?:crutch:

Go ahead and in my absence, make the move back to unencumbered free speech and set aside the CUBAN political affinity.
Thumbs down...

My reference to "Soviet" is in the context of Policy rather than enforcement.
Just wondering why a not-for-profit site would need to create a library of content that is non-editable by the original author. :detective:

JTB, for the love of God, calm down! I don't see people bashing Canada on here, but every chance you get lately you make some reference to communism or something else to degrade the USA. Gets alittle old. IMHO.
I know your probably just trying to get your point across, but as an intellegent business man that you seem to be, I'm sure you realize that there are alot better ways to do it. Like simply asking without insulting.
I checked the settings on what you are refering to, and right now it's set to 1440 minutes that the post can be edited. So basically 24 hours you can edit the post. That how someone set it. It could have been the stock Vbulletin setting. I don't know. I haven't messed with it at all.

I'm quite calm, just curious.
And the Canada/US stuff is just "tongue and cheek" jesting as far as I'm concerned, no different than some of the Canada "stuff" I get from some members. It is just fun IMO, if it is not for you, I apologize.
Your reference that I attempt to degrade the US is a little "over the to top" IMO.
I received a significant portion of my education in the US, have relatives there, do business there and own property and pay taxes there too, so if something sucks politically, I have no issue in mentioning it, sorry if my posts have offended you.
You must have missed this thread though:

JT , I have to say you are way out of line here. The name of this section is "site troubleshooting" the reason we have such a thread is because we know and you know the site is very new and things are still in the process of being tweeked and fine tuned so to speak.
There is a gentlemanly way to voice a concern without needing to offend the good folks who dedicated their own time and money ( yes this is a non profit site) to get this site to where it is right now.
The fact is we did set the permissions for all "site supporters" to be able to edit their own posts. What we didn't see , because it was in another section of VB, is that the VB default was set to limit that time period to only a 24 hour period. That has now been corrected.
All we ask is the everyone voice their concern's politely and respectfully and one of us will gladly look into and got back with an answer. We are family here and respect is vital to maintain that family relationship. I'm sure there will be other issues that we haven't encountered yet or even know about yet that will eventually come up, so please keep this in mind when voicing future concerns.
thank you,
Birdman...

George, I did post this is the troubleshooting thread and made a joke about it.
The title of the original post was simply: "I can't edit some of my posts" and posted the Castro pic as joke. I guess it wasn't funny...
It was just a simple question that has now turned into complete Bollocks, IMO.
I will be taking Gr8snkbite advice in post #26.
