Quick ?? guy's,the coolant cap, were they always this way, cause concerns with them should be o.k.This is what I've recv'd and think it's good cause this thing just glues over the original cap plus there's 2 little screws on each side.to make sure it's tight!!This should be good right, since still using the original??

Wow I always thought those Shelby caps were replacements. Seems like it should be good to me

all the caps fit over the stockers, except the steering and brake cap. set screws are part of the new design. just place it on, and tighten a bit. i never used double sided tape or adhesive on any. they stayed in place w/o it.

Mine did not have the screws. Each one was a little different, but no issues with them coming off. However, I'm still unhappy about the slop in the dipstick. When you remove the dipstick, it wiggles around like a pole dancer's butt. :yellowcard3:

Watch the power steering. That is the one that had the issue. Originally there was a hole in it for some reason and water that dripped in through hood vents collectd in the bowl shpe of the cam and then dripped in and turned the PS fluid to pepto resulting a full pump out and cleaning and replacement. The new versions don't have the hole, but I found the bottom of the cam still got some pepto look to it. It may have been condensation or what ever but I have the stock PS cap on now and don't even change it for a show.
Also note these caps get really hot so be carefl after driving :)

JBWeld is good stuff ...local ford dealer used to use it on non-structural holes from casting defects in the old Taurus Vulcan V6 engine engine blocks that would develop sometimes over 250K miles :rofl3: ...seriously.
