If you have one, please post up what you have.

Likes and dislikes?

Been looking at them for a while, but there are so many to choose from.

Would like to stay under $300 and cover a variety of cars. :look:

Many are way cheaper than that.....and practically all cover most cars going back ten years or so....I think you've used mine before, or at least took it with you once.....

.I have the older version of the SCT tuner. I've only used it about twice, so my feedback is nearly worthless.

All I have is the SCT and an old EEC-IV reader.

They both only read some codes w/ no further info, sorta useless.

Looking for something more involved and something I could use on neighbors cars if need be.

mine reads codes, freeze frames data when the code popped up to see what the eng was doing, clears them, etc....can even data record and download to the puter....

mines an Innova model 3130

ACTRON CP9580 $252 AMAZON.com w/free shipping. Very powerful tool that should serve your needs well into the future.

Ended up ordering this one.

It does OBD2, ABS, SRS and CAN protocols.

Just doesn't do older OBD1, which is not a problem.

Got it new for under $200

I just use my android phone and Torque application, along with a $99 bluetooth obd plugin..........also use it as a instrument/readout for temps, voltage, fuel rail pressure, etc. It will read and clear codes.

I use this budget Harbor Freight scan tool. It does the basic stuff like displaying/clearing OBDII codes and Emissions status.

I tried my scan tool today on a couple cars.

I think it doesn't work right?

On my track car I have a pretty loud exhaust leak on the drivers side from the track.

It didn't even tell me it found it. :nonono:

I'm very interested in your thoughts and input on this scanner. I'm needing to purchase one, but just don't know which one.
