...that translates to a low 9.50 in the quarter ...pretty impressive for stickers still on the slicks ;-)

GM has paraded around its 6.2 drag car but I haven't seen any times in those youtube vids ....clearly a little cat & mouse going on here? ...will be interesting to see what this 'teaser' can do once well-tweaked ....could there be 8s in there depending on what the rules permit? :yes:

Very impressive for sure,wow..but can,t wait to see tha Copo as well..think it will be some very good action going ON and maybe some surprises too who knows...

Really like Stang's(the whole muscle car thing going ON as a matter of fact) but that 427 N/A Copo and 4.0 Whipple LSX block will go pretty good I'm sure...then Trinity 5.8 will jump back in the game....OH my,..lets Get it ON!!

I think they've started making the run of 69 'COPO' drag cars.

But I'm a little confused since they are doing 327(uncertain if SC and NA?), 6.2L SC, and a 427NA, presumeably to go against Mustang's new 5.0NA and 5.0SC CJs and the existing 5.4SC and 428NA CJs.

I wonder if GM will somehow try to use the magic computer-managed suspension to enhance their launch controi ...if the magic suspension is even permitted in NHRA (dunno). I think there's a lot that can be done with it they choose to and if legal.

I heard that Ford Racing is also offering a 5.8 engine option in the 13' CJ....haven't seen anyone choose it yet though

George, I haven't seen anything official announced yet on a 5.8 '13 CJ, have you?

Sure hope they announce something soon if they are -- hope so!!

Did a lot searches and seems the last actual releases are from December.

Ford released this 'spec' sheet (http://www.fordracingparts.com/cobrajet/include/2013CJAnnouncement.pdf)

...and this was the actual media/anouncement (http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=35699)...

...but both only talk to the 5.0 NA and SC '13 CJs.

Hmmm ....maybe they're holding the 5.8 to cat-bird on the 6.2 COPO?

Some cool info Dan and George,..from what I've read on the COPO Dan,the 327's will be SC( 2 versions 2.9/4.0) and the N/A's will be 427's.

Makes sense since the Fords are 4Vs ...the 5.0/302 against the chevy 327, the 5.8/352 against the chevy 6.2 and the 7.0/428 against the chevy 7.0. Wonder how many of the titanium bits chevy will put in the 7.0NA (they do have very deep 7.0 lightweight parts drawyer) ...pretty much comes down to where GM wants to price it.

[edit: I'm assuming we all know the '12 428CJ is a 2V :shades:]
