Just thought I'd mention that I got the first set out there and they are very, very nice.

Thanks GR8. They without a doubt, elevate the "class" of the car. I'm sorry, but the plastic vents placed next to these is like the difference between a discount watch from K-Mart and a Rolex. You notice it instantly even from more than a few feet away. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they do a '10/'11 vent as well. Rather ingenious how they did mine.

Yep, looks like much thought in the design...patience is a virtue in manufacturing aftermarket. I'll wait and watch for the 11' version.

I wish they would do a set for the Trufiber hood.

Tob - are they only available in black? Is there a stainless or aluminum option?

Those look nice. I'd be concerned about scratching the metal so I'd probably look for a way to line the metal with something if I installed them. Good job and thanks for pics.

It would be nice if they supplied a plastic solid insert that fit in the hole so you could lay it in there while washing the car...avoiding dripping water on the engine hoses/caps. I supposed you could make one easily if you can find a sheet of plastic about 1/16" thick that large.

:yellowcard3: this is a tech thread. I do like these vents. I have silver stripes, so I'd have to think about whether to paint them or get in a silver coating. Maybe Joe's promotion on BVM could be for a set of these, just sayin'.

At over $300 a set, I don't think so Goat Boy. :boink:

I wish some one would come up with ons that could be closed. It seems like any time Ihave to park outside the rain come after I get to bed and then there is water spots to clean up. I'll travel with tape and foil now!

I have mine coming in this week. The reason why Ford put vents on is the remove the heat this big motor puts out. You close it and you will have heat issues.

I'm sure someone can make a plastic cover you can temporarily place over...simple pattern tracing...just for washing IMO....but if you wanted more you could find a way to fasten them.

I don'twant to drive with them but even a snap on cover for nights out in the rain would help. I just remember the old pull the lever under the dash to open the ram air hoods and thing that wouldbe cool - I don't even need electric for this

Finally bit the bullet on a set of these. Powder coated black satin finish. Hope they look as nice on my car as they do on Tob's car.

They'll make you wonder why you waited so long to add them. Pricey or not - they bump the car up a notch on the class scale.

Looks good, so do the nineteens...

Are they nineteens, or are they 20s on back and 19s on front?

Nineteens, they are either stock 2010 Wheels or aftermarket knockoffs...

Thanks guys!

Actually, the wheels are the American Muscle 18" 2010 vert replicas. 18x9 in the front, 18x10 in the rear. They're OK, but I'd like to find something a bit shinier.
