Wondering if this is something that has to be done with a custom tune or just for people with the canned SCT tune? Has anyone done it etc?

Great info, Chris!

My guess is firmware would be independent of the tune so likely ALL devices (canned and custom tunes) should be upgraded.

The fact that is says CRITICAL makes me curious exactly what it fixes tho.

One guy on SVT suspects it has to do with '11 Mustangs but unclear.

If you do the update, make sure you have your tune saved on computer... Updates will erase any tune on the handheld... You also have to put your stock tune back in the car before doing the update...

I hate this stuff.

It seems to simple yet it always takes forever for me to do.

It may have to do w/ how old my tuner is?

I think mine is a SF not a X3, one of the originals from Evolution 6 years ago. :faint:

If you don't have an X3 might not be worth updating?

Mines updated as of a couple weeks ago.

Mine is a X2 and it works fine. My wife has a X3 and it works fine too. I prefer not to wipe out my tunes by accident. lol.
