It's going great right now.... but was very slow this morning, especially when posting and going from thread to thread.

I just got that message.
Actually it was on the Grabber thread.
I wonder if a certain thread can have an issue? Is that possible?

I have the Grabber thread still open in another tab and it has been trying to load for over 10 minutes now.

I suspect the host server we're on is heavily loaded at times ...we probably should file a ticket with them? George used to be the interface...

They'll only accept a ticket from the one individual who is registered with them. That was George -- prolly should now be Keith?

From 2:00 and 2:20 this afternoon I tried at least 20 times to get in and server was too slow to load any page (tried many differenbt ones) before the browser would time out.
I don't know if they've moved more load onto the server we're on or moved us to a different server or ??? but they need to be told the service has degraded to the point that it's impacting our Club's ability to conduct basic operations. :shades: Possibly they have some insight.
I know Keith is already persuing this, just adding some info to lay on them, if needed.

ok, update...
got a reply back from KH....everything is running as required.....however....after running a script of our site....seems at the time periods when the site was running slow, spammers were trying to access the site...this was the root cause for the site running slow, pages loading slow, etc...all should be fine now....
REMINDER.....this is a forum/thread for technical issues regarding the forum.....not a free for all PW area....thanks...:tiphat2:

For the last couple days the internet hacking group Anonymous has been attacking quite a few servers from what I understand.
If we are on one of those servers shared w/ those they are after it could be slowing us down or affecting us.
Lots of game servers have been affected as well.

yeah, those dufi hacked and took over the US DOJ home page today ...posted up their BS re that azzhat who stole thousands of US mil documents and demanding gov't transparency (a.k.a. give us all your secrets -lol). I doubt they'd be interested in our host's servers. More likely those Chinese, Iranian, Russian and various mid-eastern folks who try to hack us all the time.
Interesting about that script ...in the past on TS I'd often see IE9 detect a rogue "long-running script" and cautioning me that it may make IE9 unstable and then asking me if I wanted to stop it from running. When I'd answer "yes" TS would immediately run much faster. But I haven't gotten that message (ever) here.

Just got the "long running script" notice here ...three times. And the site has been sluggish. Each time I'd have IE9 terminate it but it would restart again. So I stopped it once again and then clicked IE9 compatibility mode and now the site is running super-fast.
