Going to Irvine, CA. August 9... What to do>>>

I will be traveling to Irvine CA in August. We will be spending the first few days and nights at a National swim meet for my son. I plan on hanging around a few days afterwards if I can find some interesting things to do. Anyone have any ideas?...

Oh and on Thursdays you can go to Irwindale and race the 1/8 every Thursday from 5-10pm
