I'm stuck using IE6 on my work laptop - they haven't updates some corp applications so that they run on the newer IE, so have to live with this old POS.

In order to get the most from this site (and others) I want to also download an alternate browser.

1) is there any issues if I have IE and say Chrome, Firefox or Safari?

2) which is the best/easiest to use alternate?

Thanks!

Suck it up Princess.

I always use Firefox. IE is a problem on most sites I frequent.

I have been using Firefox for many years and it has been great. Occasionally there is a site with streaming video that won't load properly and I have to use IE.

I've tried other browser but always end up going back to IE. I don't really like IE8, so I'm using IE7.

I was using Firefox for years but have switched to Chrome. It seems a little faster than the others and I have only found one website that I have problems with.

It is simple to use, any dufus can do it.

I have used firefox successfully for a bunch of years........it has many add-ons applications that make life a lot easier.......things like mapping and searching by highlighting and right click menu hitting.........my son did load the chrome browser also on a laptop he set up for me recently, so I will also be giving it a go........

Has anyone tried any of these somewhat obscure web browsers: Aurora, Camino, Sea Monkey, Konqueror, Avant, Flock, K-Melion, Maxthon, Pale Moon ...probably a few more I'm forgetting :giggle:

:rofl3: ...amazing how many there are ...and they all probably think they will rule the segment one day

Interesting that IE is now the fastest growing browser again -- eating Chrome's (and othere's) smaller market share ...apparently folks are rediscovering that IE9 really is a great product ...and I'm NOT a MS fan in general.

I think Boston mike uses Sea Monkey.
